Wellness and Preventative Care

Preventive care such as vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention, and routine doctor exams are crucial to keeping your pet healthy and happy.

We offer wellness services during convenient daytime and evening hours, with excellent care for healthy pets.

Vaccines - We carry both “core” vaccines and specialty vaccines for both canines and felines.

1.

Heartworm Testing - Testing is recommended once yearly along with your pet’s wellness check and vaccinations even if your pet is on heartworm prevention as no prevention in 100% guaranteed though they do come close with 100% compliance. Testing is also recommended if multiple prevention doses are missed.

2.

Urine & Fecal Analysis - We can look at urine and fecal samples on a microscopic level to identify everything from parasite ova (eggs) in your pets feces to crystals in your pets urine and then be able to treat your pet accordingly.

3.

Microchipping - Its important to microchip and then also register your pets microchip. We can do both for you. A microchip can mean the difference between being reunited with your lost pet and them being gone forever.

4.

Parasite Prevention - There are multiple different types of preventatives covering parasites such as fleas, ticks, ear mites, hookworms, roundworms, and heartworms. Talking to your pet’s veterinarian about your pet’s lifestyle will help them recommend the proper preventatives for your pet to be sure that they are fully protected.

5.

FeLV/FIV Testing - Feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus are both contagious and untreatable diseases in cats. A simple blood test that is performed in the clinic can tell us if your pet is positive for either or both of these diseases.

6.

Wellness Lab Screening - Along with yearly vaccinations for your pet, bloodwork is also recommended. Recommendations will be made by the veterinarian based on your pet’s lifestyle and age.

7.

Dental Cleaning - Routine dental cleanings for your pet will help keep your pet’s teeth and gums healthy. Infections in the mouth can easily spread through your pets bloodstream and cause other major issues.

8.

Spay/Neuter - We also provide spay and neuter services which prevent unwanted litters and reduce risk of medical problems later in your pet’s life.
